Delicious will be held annually, and will showcase one of the best and most diverse line-ups of burlesque and cabaret talent ever seen in a single UK show. The festival style 12 hour structure will be accompanied by a huge selection of traders, plus Burlesque Tuition and Skills Workshops by Ministry of Burlesque and Beatrix Von Bourbon, a Newcomers competition, DJs and a live band. It will quite simply be one of the most spectacular burlesque cabaret events in the 2010 UK calendar. Delicious will be aimed at no particular “scene” or “group”, instead it will be an event which will be universally attractive to all lovers of burlesque, circus and cabaret entertainment. It will have a “formal” evening dress code from 7pm designed to appeal to all, whilst ensuring a high standard of attire from all guests.
The Promoters - The event is a joint venture between State of the Art Promotions and Heresy n Heelz Productions. SOTAP are a large scale national events management company who have run many festival style events including the State of The Art International Tattoo, Body Art & Music Festival and will be the main promoter and event organiser. Heresy n Heelz Productions run burlesque events particularly aimed at alternative cultures, with some very high profile line‐ups and attendances in excess of 300. They will be responsible for the full stage production and all other live entertainment/workshops. The event will be jointly marketed by SOTAP and Heresy n Heelz. |
Supporting Features - We wish to offer the best possible value for money for our guests, and to ensure this, we want them to be spoilt for choice from arrival to going home. The Great Hall and Concourse areas of the venue will accommodate 60 traders offering a diverse variety of products likely to appeal to the wide range of guests that we are likely to attract. A “Newcomers” Competition, judged by an expert panel, will run on the main stage early on in the evening to find an up-coming performer who, as part of their prize, will get to perform their routine as part of the main feature. Leading performers will offer both tuition and practical workshops and a leading UK photographic studio will offer professional photo shoots of guests in all their finery (not to mention be on the look out for new models)! Delicious will have something for everyone and it is unlikely that a single night quite like this has ever been attempted before in the UK.
Media & Sponsorship - As you would expect, we will be engaging with a wide variety of online, magazine, radio and TV media in order to give this event maximum publicity and it will also benefit from some high level partners and sponsorship. Vendors can expect considerable publicity both before and after the show from numerous sources. The event will be heavily promoted and supported by Ministry of Burlesque. |
